Trip Overview
Starting from Pokhara, the trail climbs to the famous sunrise viewpoint at Poon Hill before descending into the Modi Khola gorge. The final climb to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) opens onto a 360-degree ring of Himalayan giants. Natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda soothe tired legs on the way back.

Itinerary
Scenic 7-hour drive along the Trishuli river to the lakeside city of Pokhara.
Short drive to the trailhead and a gentle walk to Tikhedhunga.
Climb the famous 3,000 stone steps to Ghorepani (2,860 m).
Sunrise over Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from Poon Hill (3,210 m).
Through rhododendron forest to the Gurung village of Chhomrong.
Descend and climb through bamboo forest along the Modi Khola.
Enter the sanctuary below the fishtail peak of Machhapuchhre.
Early walk to ABC (4,130 m) for sunrise, then descend.
Descend to Jhinu and relax in the natural hot springs.
Last walk and drive back to Pokhara, free evening by Phewa Lake.
Transfer to Pokhara airport or bus park.
