Trip Overview
After a scenic flight to Lukla, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi river to Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital. Acclimatisation days in Namche and Dingboche let you adjust to the altitude before continuing past Tengboche Monastery to Gorak Shep, Everest Base Camp and a sunrise climb of Kala Patthar (5,545 m) for close-up views of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.

Itinerary
Airport pick-up, transfer to the hotel and evening trek briefing.
Early mountain flight to Lukla (2,860 m), then an easy descent along the Dudh Koshi to Phakding.
Cross suspension bridges including the Hillary Bridge and climb to Namche (3,440 m), first views of Everest.
Hike to the Everest View Hotel and visit the Sherpa museum.
Panoramic trail to Tengboche Monastery (3,860 m), evening prayers with the monks.
Through rhododendron forest and Pangboche village to Dingboche (4,410 m).
Hike up Nangkartshang Peak for views of Makalu and Ama Dablam.
Past the climbers' memorials at Thukla Pass to Lobuche (4,940 m).
Trek to Gorak Shep, then on to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and the Khumbu Icefall.
Pre-dawn climb of Kala Patthar (5,545 m), then descend to Pheriche.
Long descent back to Namche for a well-earned hot shower.
Final day on the trail, farewell dinner with the crew.
Morning flight back to Kathmandu, afternoon free.
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

Frequently Asked Questions
You should be comfortable walking 5-7 hours a day for several days in a row. No climbing experience is needed, but training with hill walks beforehand helps a lot.
The itinerary includes two acclimatisation days. Guides carry a first-aid kit and pulse oximeter, and we descend immediately if symptoms become serious.
